We held strong at our stronghold at Eves Coffee throughout the month, playing our regular casual games. On the 9th of April, we held a casual game night and on the 23rd our mini tournament was a highlight, connecting and challenging folks across communities. ending the month off on the 30th with another casual event.

On the 12th of March we started our mini tournaments, hosting one every month to decide who would be our reigning rookie for the month. A round robin tournament would decide our winner for the month. We had a small break from our usual Thursday casual games on the 14th of February as we hosted a chess tournament at Tricult, a community based cultural fest. At Tricult, during our round robin tournament, we got to meet a large variety of people who shared the love of chess, from all walks of life, people sat across each other and played multiple games against each other until only one was crowned the winner and won the price of beautiful wooden chess set.

On the 15th of January, grown out of a love for chess, we decided to formally begin our chess community.
